“EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON WHICH YOU CAN USE TO CHANGE THE WORLD”
- Knowledge is the ultimate power, to know the true and actual value of human life. It is about being real, being humble, being able to share over selves & touch the life of others. With this noble mission to bestow education to the girls community of the Indian society, ‘Dev Samaj College’ was founded in twentieth century by “BHAGVAN DEV ATAMA” in 1934 in lahore. He was indentified with social and moral revival of the female category at that time. Approach towards girls education was very much narrower in the past years. At that crucial and difficult time, when our customs and usages were not in favour of imparting education to the girls, specially for higher education, He was the person, who took vast and higher step to educate girls in the society. Founding father of this institution was having the wonderful opinion that “To Educate a girl, is to educate a family” with earnest efforts and sincere desires, he succeeded in his mission to establish Dev Samaj College (Lahore) for girls.
- Having been started at Lahore in 1934, Dev Samaj College for Girls was restarted at Ambala city in 1948, Then it was the only college for girls in the whole Ambala division this girls college has completed 70 years of service to the cause of higher education for girls. The development has been multi dimensional. This institution helps the girls students to prove good daughters, good units of society and good human beings and many of our students are today working in many different fields of administration, education, banks and legal services etc.
- Education gives freedom of thought to a women, they will be able to stand up for their rights, ultimately the progress of a country depends on girls education, so our esteemed institution is stepping towords girls education and inspiring them for their brilliant future ahead. I wish the students keep improving and growing to discover thier skills and ambitions in life.
- “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples” Mother Teresa.
I look forward to welcoming you!
